The Kentucky Derby 2011 post position draw will take place Wednesday evening at 5 pm ET.  Odds coming into Wednesday were available below and courtesy of SBG Global.   Keep in mind that not all of these horses will be competing in the 2011 Kentucky Derby and odds are not only subject to change, they will change.  The post position draw will have a lot to do with any changes in the odds since some positions are considered more favorable than others.  Current odds can be locked in now here.

Watch for the number one post position.  It has won more times since 1900 than any other (though tied with the number 5 post position): 12.

The 4th and 5th positions have proven favorable over the last century.

The 17 and 19 positions have never won!

How to read these odds:  +350 pays $350 for every $100 bet or $35 for every $10 bet.  +1000 pays $1000 for every $100 bet or $100 for every $10 bet, and so on.
