Nehro odds to win the 2011 Kentucky Derby had hit single digits in recent days at SBG Global and from +800 or 8/1 to +750 after the post positions were announced late Wednesday.

Nehro has the number 19 post position at this year’s Derby, which we might add is not entirely favorable.

Nehro enjoyed a runner-up finish in the Grade 2, $1 million Louisiana Derby at Fair Grounds on March 26 followed by another close race at the Arkansas Derby, which helped to solidify him as one of the mid level favorites after the likes of Dialed In and Uncle Mo.

Trainer Steve Asmussen told the Louisville Courier he believes Nehro has the breeding to get the mile and a quarter distance.

“He just looks awesome,” owner Ahmed Zayat said. “We're very thrilled, blessed and keeping our fingers crossed. We all know what happened last year. This game is very humbling, and you count your blessings every day.

Here were your current 2011 Kentucky Derby odds available at SBG Global immediately following the post position draw.
