For the first time ever, online poker cash games were introduced in Italy via the .it websites of PokerStars, OnGame and iPoker, which will now include gambling911.com sponsor WilliamHill.it.
Cash games were only permitted between the hours of 2 pm and 5 pm on Monday July 18. Starting Wednesday July 20, online poker cash games in Italy could be played between the hours of 8 am and 8 pm. By Friday July 22, these cash games could now be played around the clock 24/7.
No-limit, fixed limit and pot limit Hold’em Poker and PLO will be available on sites like William Hill.it.
Cash games will be taxed at 20 percent of the gross profit
PokerFuse.com noted that, at the higher stakes of NL ring, PokerStars charges 5.5% rake with a €3 cap; iPoker (William Hill) charge 5c for ever 90c in the pot (5.55%) with a cap of €4. To compare, PokerStars caps the rake on euro tables on the international dot-com site at €2.
