FSU, Clemson and Maryland odds to win the 2011 ACC Atlantic Division have been posted at BetOnLine.com.
Florida State was the pretty big 1/3 favorite (-290) with Clemson and Maryland both listed at +550, which would pay $550 for every $100 bet.
Blake Frazier of BetOnline.com noted that the soft schedule alone should be enough to propel FSU.
“The schedule could not set up better for a team looking for marquee wins and an outside shot at a national title. The Seminoles get two tune-up games before Oklahoma travels to Tallahassee. They travel to Clemson the following week. After that the ‘Noles have road games at Wake Forest, Duke, Boston College, and then rival Florida to end the season. They get Miami, Maryland, NC State, and Virginia in Tallahassee. The stage is set for a big year for Florida State – on that point, the ranks of pundits would certainly agree. There’s just no one else in the ACC Atlantic Division who can stand up to this team.”
Frazier also points out that the Seminoles have stockpiled tons of talent for this upcoming season. The price – having to bet $30 to win $10 – does have some value, all things considered.
FSU is listed with 10/1 odds to win the 2012 BCS Championship.
