Stay Thirsty Odds to Win Breeders Cup Classic up to 16 to 1
One week before the richest race in North America, a handful of online racebooks were listing Stay Thirsty with odds to win the Breeders Cup Classic as high as 16 to 1. Stan James in the UK was offering Stay Thirsty at 10 to 1 odds.
This is owner Mike Repole’s “other horse” with Uncle Mo the favorite to win this year’s Breeders Cup Classic.
Stay Thirsty has won both the Grade II Jim Dandy Stakes and the 2011 Grade I Travers Stakes.

Repole refers to Stay Thirsty as the “Rodney Dangerfield of the barn” since he gets so little respect when compared to say Uncle Mo.
"I feel that obviously Mo got all the attention in the beginning of the year," Repole said. "I feel that Thirsty got all the attention after the Jim Dandy and the Travers, but in the Kelso, Mo upstaged him again. I think they've taken turns. To me, if these two horses ran at a mile, it wouldn't be a question -- Mo is the better horse. At a mile and a quarter, Stay Thirsty might be the better horse."
