It wasn’t the best week for the global online poker market as traffic rose a meager 1 percent.  Most of the rise came at PokerStars while seven of the other top 10 online poker sites lost some ground

PokerStars is currently celebrating its 10th anniversary with a series of special offerings.  That site’s traffic rose 4 percent.

Continuing with the celebration, PokerStars will attempt to break its own Guinness World Record for the largest poker tournament in history on Sunday, and that should prompt across the board traffic increases.

Among this past week’s biggest losers, the International Poker Network (IPN), which witnessed a sharp 8 percent decline in traffic.

PartyPoker saw a 2 percent drop in overall traffic.  It was pushed out of the number two spot by the iPoker Network earlier in the month.  The two sites have alternated positions since Full Tilt Poker shut down back in June.  iPoker only leads Party in terms of traffic by a mere 200 players on average.
