‘Leatherass’ or ‘Dumbass’? Dusty Schmidt Compares Black Friday to 9/11
Poker pro Dusty "Leatherass" Schmidt, who has said some pretty dumb things in the past, has just topped them all.
Or to put it more accurately, he's just reached a new low.
In stupidity.
In his latest blog post, Schmidt has the audacity to compare Black Friday, the day last year when the U.S. Justice Department busted several online poker rooms, to 9/11, the day in 2001 when terrorists attacked the Pentagon and World Trade Center.
Does this mental midget really equate a bunch of poker players losing their ability to play cards online to 3,000 Americans losing their lives?
Looks like!
In a blog post dated April 5, 2012, and posted on www.cardplayer.com, Schmidt, whose nickname should be "Dumbass" instead of "Leatherass," wrote about online poker room America's Cardroom: "I was amazed to learn that they have a $250K guaranteed event on the first anniversary of Black Friday. April 15--NEVER FORGET! I say that like it is 9/11, since it kinda was in our world."
Say what?
Black Friday was "kinda like 9/11" in your world?
And what world is that?
The delusional world of delusional poker pro Dusty Schmidt?
To compare a poker crackdown to the worst act of terrorism in American history isn't just stupid, it's callous, insensitive and downright cruel.
And really, really dumb.
A while back, Schmidt wrote a book about poker that had the premise that Phil "Poker Brat" Hellmuth Jr., winner of a record 11 World Series of Poker championship bracelets, actually knows nothing about poker (or at least a lot less than Schmidt).
The book was titled "Don't Listen to Phil Hellmuth."
Considering Schmidt's latest blog post, that book should be retitled "Don't Listen to Dusty Schmidt...Ever."
