2012 NBA Finals MVP Betting Odds Have LeBron James the Favorite
Sportsbook.com on Saturday released 2012 NBA Finals MVP betting odds as we get set to enter the Playoffs.
LeBron James of the Miami Heat was coming in as the 11/4 favorite to win as MVP.
Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Derek Rose of the Chicago Bulls were each coming in at 4/1 odds.
Earlier this week, Rose told reporters, "Every day is getting better. I’m not trying to do too much out there, just trying to play with the team, trying not to get re injured. That’s the biggest thing, and making sure I’m playing with a lot of confidence.
"I love playing games, getting my rhythm back. I’m coming along, man. I’m very positive. My spirits are up."
Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat was listed at 5/1 odds.
"I'm a firm believer in moving on but also, if they haven't done it already … go back to that dark place and how it felt and understand what we're shooting for," Wade said of his teammates going into Game 1 of a first-round series vs. the New York Knicks on Saturday (ABC, 3:30 p.m. ET).
"It's a long journey. It's a uphill battle to get there. We feel we can, especially if we're playing good basketball. If we're playing good and the other team playing good we feel we should win. We got to go out and do that and obviously we got to look back. We got to feel that pain a little bit to remember."
Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers and Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder were both listed at 10/1 odds.
Sportsbook.com has also released odds on which team will win the 2012 NBA Championship.
