El Padrino enjoyed a 1st place finish at the Risen Star – G2 while finishing 4th at the recent Florida Derby.

He made his debut at Gulfstream Park back in January and has looked impressive in most races, but can he win the Derby?

Here’s an interesting little factoid to consider:  Two of El Padrino’s three wins were on the mud.  He’s expected to run on a dry track Saturday as rain is not in the forecast at the time of publication (May 1).   For now, the forecast should keep El Padrino at the current odds of 25/1.
