I’ll Have Another won his last two races at the Robert B. Lewis – Grade 2 and Santa Anita Derby – Grade 1, respectively.

Coming into the Santa Anita in early April, Brian Mulligan of BetOnline did have his eyes on I’ll Have Another, even offering reason for his one bad past performance.

“Those that like to imbibe have a vehicle in I’ll Have Another, who has only run one poor race and he has the excuse of the slop that day. He gave Creative Cause all he could handle last summer at Del Mar.”

Creative Cause has slightly shorter odds than I’ll Have Another coming into the Derby.  I’ll Have Another also won’t have to contend with the slop as the Derby forecast is calling for a dry race day, albeit very warm.
