Carrie Stroup here with a quickie on the odds of a horse winning the Triple Crown in 2012.

Those odds at Sportsbook were 7/1 coming into the Kentucky Derby.  They’ll still be available afterwards but might be cut somewhat depending on which horse wins and how dramatic that win will be.

The “No” requires a $10 bet to win $1 (the $10 is of course refunded in the event there is not a Triple Crown).  You can wager $100 to win $10.

That may be worth it.

There have only been 11 Triple Crowns with the last one being in 1978.  Amazingly, there was a Triple Crown the year before and in 1973.  That was the decade of Seattle Slew, Affirmed and Secretariat.

Remember, all Kentucky Derby odds can be found here at Sportsbook.  Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes as well as daily horse race odds also will be available
