2012 Belmont Stakes Picks
Gambling911.com has its 2012 Belmont Stakes picks with a special focus on the weather situation. Betting on the Belmont Stakes was available at WagerWeb.com, which was offering up to $1000 in FREE CASH to qualified new customers.
Dullahan may be the overnight favorite to win, but it is Union Rags who proved he can run in the slop and it is looking more and more likely that Belmont will be hit by rain come race time. Union Rags still would pay close to 3/1 odds at WagerWeb ($25 for every $10 bet). We suggest locking in these odds now since the weather is sure to result in the price being slashed further.
Atigun has the two men who engineered two of the biggest blockbuster long-shot winners in the 144 years of the Belmont Stakes behind him, Ed Anthony and Ken McPeek. He simply cannot be overlooked among one’s 2012 Belmont Stakes picks.
Paynter is the Bob Baffert trained horse that is custom made to run on the Belmont track. Paynter’s odds were slashed throughout the day following news of I’ll Have Another being scratched.
WagerWeb.com analysts note that the lightly raced son of Awesome Again is bred for distance and has two victories in four outings. He registered triple digit speed numbers in his past two routes. And he stays a bit closer to the front than most of the field. Paytnter does have some value at +450 paying $45 for every $10 bet.
Street Life, who improved immensely to finish third in the Peter Pan, deserves a look and possible consideration for one’s trifecta betting.
The well-bred son of ’07 Kentucky Derby champ Street Sense won twice this year, but the furthest was 1 1/16 miles. He’d need a perfect trip. We wouldn’t quite go as far as to make Street Life one of our Belmont Stakes picks, however.
With I’ll Have Another out, a number of the 2012 Belmont Stakes contenders have had their odds slashed at WagerWeb.com.
