Darren Wright was charged with moving millions of dollars worth of funds to and from his BetED.com online gambling website via a phony payment processing center set up by the US Attorney’s Office out of Maryland.  A portion of those funds were recovered by the US Attorney’s Office and used to pay for new county police cars and uniforms.

Wright was charged in connection with what has come to be called “Blue Monday” following the so-called “Black Friday” indictments of PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker and UB.com on April 15, 2011.
