Governor Charlie Odds to Win 2013 Preakness

Governor Charlie odds to win the 2013 Preakness were at +1050 or near 11/1.  He was seeing around 8.1 percent of the betting action at Bookmaker.  Bet on the 2013 Preakness Stakes at Bookmaker and receive up to 8 percent cash back daily, WIN or LOSE

Governor Charlie missed this year’s Kentucky Derby due to a foot bruise.  Trained by Hall of Famer Bob Baffert, Governor Charlie won the Sunland Derby.

Baffert has won 5 Preakness Stakes races to date.  The mile and one-eighth distance for Saturday’s Preakness should present little problem for Governor Charlie.

The problem here is that Sunland has never proven a significant stepping stone for thoroughbreds and it is true that Governor Charlie has yet to face this type of stiff competition.  Inexperience will be a major disadvantage here.
