Oxbow has won the 2013 Preakness Stakes.

Oxbow, Goldencents and Titletown Five led the way early on and Oxbow never relinquished the lead with Gary Stevens on the saddle.  Favorite Orb finished 4th after racing inside.  This was not his comfort level.

Oxbow, a Wayne Lucas-trained horse, was at 15-1 odds to win the Preakness.  He had the second longest odds, making this win an upset.

This is Wayne Lucas’ 6th Preakness win.

Orb’s failure to win the Preakness Stakes means that, once again this year, there will not be a Triple Crown.

ItsMyLuckyDay finished 2nd with Mylute finishing 3rd.
