Google Ad Words has lifts its ban on Internet gambling companies advertising in the United Kingdom and now extends that privilege to online gambling affiliates, but with stringent guidelines.

Google will now allow gambling-affiliated companies without a UK gaming licence to bid on AdWords.

The company lifted its ban in October permitting gaming and gambling search terms, but only applied it to those companies that had a valid UK gaming licence.

Affiliates will be required to carry a prominent link to gambleaware.co.uk or gamcare.org.uk on the first web page that a user arrives at after clicking on an Adwords gambling ad and must ensure minors do not access the online gambling website.
