A claims administrator for the US Government has designated September 16 as a day to open up claims for those owed monies by Full Tilt Poker.

As reported by Gambling911.com two days ago, The Garden City Group issued this statement to PokerFuse.com Wednesday:  “The claims process will begin shortly. At this time we cannot provide a specific date, but expect to be able to provide a launch date by the end of this week."

The Garden City Group was appointed by the US Department of Justice to oversee the return of millions of dollars owed to US-based customers following an indictment handed down against executives of Full Tilt Poker on April 15, 2011.

Millions of dollars are still owed to customers of Full Tilt Poker, which has since been acquired by PokerStars and no longer accepts US customers.

Payouts will not be coming September 16.  Instead this will be the start of a 60-day time period in which players can submit a claim with the remission application process ending on November 15, 2013.
