Paynter Odds to Win the 2013 Breeders Cup Classic

Paynter is best known for his second-place finish at the 2012 Belmont Stakes but then suffered a near career ending case of colitis that required abdominal surgery. 

Paynter’s comeback this year included a 2^nd place finish at the San Diego Handicap and, most recently, a 2^nd place finish in Santa Anita at the Awesome Again Stakes. 

“It’s a miracle this horse is in the Breeders’ Cup,” trainer Bob Baffert said.

Ahead of Saturday’s big race, Paynter was looking “Beautiful, perfect,” according to Baffert.
