What an exciting race and it is California Chrome who wins the 2014 Kentucky Derby in 2014 and ready to see if he can win the Triple Crown.  Sportsbook.com had the odds of a Triple Crown this year set at 10-1.  Those odds are bound to be slashed as California Chrome looked amazing.

Finishing 2nd – Commanding Curve, a huge 50-1 long shot

Finishing 3rd – Danza – named after the actor was at 9-1

California Chrome and Chitu set the pace early.  Uncle Sigh, a 24-1 long shot, led early.  The pace was not fast.

2 minues 3.66 seconds was the final time.

California Chrome is the first California-bred horse to win the Kentucky Derby since 1962.

Below you can see the Kentucky Derby odds just prior to race time.
