Trainer Dale Romans says: "He's been running against the best horses in the country and in the biggest races on the East Coast, and he has been very competitive in every one of them. I think he's sitting on his biggest race of the year, and if a couple of others of them falter a little bit, he could win this race."
He nearly beat Moreno at the Grade 1 Woodward Stakes at Saratoga. In fact, Prayer for Relief has managed to hit the board in 21 of 33 races.

"I’m going to side one of the older guys I’ve been waiting to break out for a while since switching to the Dale Roman’s Barn with Prayer For Relief. From what I’ve seen and read, he looks fantastic and has been working smashing over the track. He needs to step it up here but I think he can at least hit the board at a huge price. I’ll go craycray here and pick him as my top pick to win. We can all use a little Prayer right?"
He looks a lot less attractive as an actual winner being that he has not finished first in any race since December of last year. That was nine races ago.
Finishing third in the Grade 1 Woodward though back in August – Well that’s enough to consider a place bet. Otherwise we just don’t see a whole lot of value in Prayer For Relief.
