Sportsbook.ag released odds on American Pharoah to win the 2015 Belmont Stakes and become the first Triple Crown winner in over 30 years. Those odds were set at -150 early on, similar to what we were seeing for the Preakness Stakes.
American Pharoah topped the field of eight horses, with Tale of Verve second and Divining Rod third, a length back.
Just like clockwork it seemed, torrential rains began falling minutes before the start of the race. American Pharoah and Mr Z were the only horses with experience running on a muddy track. American Pharoah, in fact, relished the mud.
