NFL Commissioner’s NYS Assemblyman Cousin Says DFS is Gambling
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says that Daily Fantasy Sports is not gambling. The league has entered into partnership deals with both FanDuel and DraftKings through its various franchises.
Goodell’s cousin, a New York State assemblyman, has gone on record to suggest DFS contests are indeed a form of gambling.
“In my mind, it’s clearly gambling. It’s sports gambling,” Andy Goodell said, via sports attorney Daniel Wallach.
Legislators in New York are currently mulling over whether DFS companies should be permitted to operate in the state legally.
It is interesting to note that Roger Goodell has contributed thousands to his cousin’s campaign.
