With odds set at 12/1, William Hill has confirmed that Shaheen Jafargholi is receiving more action from punters than Aiden Davis, who had the second shortest odds of winning this season's installment of the smash television competition, Britain's Got Talent, after Susan Boyle.

Shaheen is one of those youngsters that melts the hearts of typical Britain's Got Talent viewers.

Recent trends in the States suggest that voters are more apt to choose the underdog over a widely publicized favorite.

This past week, heavily touted Adam Lambert lost out to underdog Kris Allen on American Idol.  The prior night, Olympian Shawn Johnson upset season long favorite, Gilles Marini, on Dancing With The Stars.

The 12-year-old will take to the stage once again on Tuesday after he was selected by the show's judges to appear.

Shaheen Jafargholi said: "I'm really excited about the semi-final, but it's quite nerve wracking. I can't wait to see what happens, hopefully it will be a good result. I've got to wait and see - it's down to the public.

"I'm so lucky to be in the top 40 out of 80,000 applicants."

Jafargholi's could win if the UK decides it has had enough of Susan Boyle.  The hysteria surrounding her is now fading, though another brilliant performance by the "hairy angel" Sunday night could seal it.

The payout should Wale's own Shaheen Jagargholi win would be US$1200 for every US$100 bet.
