After cooling off just a bit the days leading up to the NBA All Star Break, the Miami Heat are back on fire once again and the bookies continue to get pounded.

Heat Go From Basement Dweller to Contender

Miami broke the record for most consecutive winnings for a team under .500 (13) and continues clawing its way to the .500 mark and a shot at the 2017 NBA Playoffs.

Though the Heat lost to Orlando for a second time in under a month, they have managed to go 6-4 Straight Up over their last ten games.

More importantly, Miami is 6-4 Against The Spread over this time frame and managed to cover all but one during their 13-game hot streak (and that lone game was a push).

Erik Spoelstra Coach of the Year?

Now there are those who believe Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra is well on his way to being named “Coach of the Year”.

ESPN’s Marc Stein writes:

It’s Miami's Erik Spoelstra who boasts the most irresistible case to score our nod for the second trimester, given what legitimately ranks as an unprecedented in-season turnaround for a team that reached the season's halfway point on pace to win 22 games.

Entering Friday's disappointing showing in Orlando, Miami was on a 17-3 fairy tale of surge that A) features what many are calling the most improbable 13-game winning streak in league history and B) accounted for the best record in the NBA since Jan. 17.

What Spoelstra has done with an injury-riddled roster that had pundits and hoop know-it-alls howling for the Heat to tank when they were 11-30 is truly special. Yet those who know Spoelstra best will tell you he's obsessive about trying to find an edge, constantly studying any piece of data he can muster in the search for the best lineups and schemes and, as he's in the process of showing us, adept at squeezing improvement from the group no matter who is wearing the uniforms.

South Florida bookies in particular will be in desperate search for an established Pay Per Head the likes of AcePerHead.com in an effort to offer loss leaders such as LIVE IN-PLAY WAGERING, tons of team and player props, futures and an online casino platform, all at an affordable price.  These options help boost profits while reducing losses.

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?

As the new NBA season gets underway, there is most certainly a sense that the Boston Celtics are the team to beat once again. The 18-time champions really took an “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it” policy in the offseason, and it’s hard to argue with the tactic.
