Carrie Stroup here with your odds to win the 2009 Belmont Stakes.  These are preliminary odds before the official announcement of post positions so the numbers were subject to change if not locked in immediately.

What was initially expected to be an exciting matchup pitting Kentucky Derby winner Mind That Bird up against Preakness sweetheart Rachel Alexandra is now looking like a ho hum sort of event, though no doubt it will generate a significant number of bets with companies like Sportsbook.com.

Unfortunately Rachel Alexandra dropped out of the 2009 Belmont Stakes due to an injury.

Not surprisingly, Mind That Bird is the favorite, but at a decent price.  Gambling911.com considers Mine That Bird its "Value Bet" of the 2009 Belmont Stakes race this coming Saturday.  He only requires a $150 bet for a $100 win (the $150 initial bet is also returned should Mine That Bird be victorious).

The one exciting feature of this race will be the much touted "Calvin Borel Triple Crown Watch".  Borel has so far ridden both winning horses to victory in the Derby and The Preakness.  He jumped horses for the Preakness to take Rachel Alexandra across the finish line first but now he's back on Mine That Bird.  Let's hope that Mine That Bird doesn't have any ill feelings towards Borel.

Charitable Man and Dunkirk are the only other contenders listed with single digit odds (both pay $350 for every $100 bet at Sportsbook.com)
