PokerNews.com suggests there are five British players were should pay special attention to at this year’s World Series of Poker.
The shout outs go to Max Silver, Simon Deadman, Tom Hall, Patrick Leonard and Niall Farrell.
Silver is “is one of our favorite players to watch thanks to his aggressive, fearless style of play,” PokerNews.com notes. He’s also a cashed a total of 18 times at past WSOP events for combined scores of $742,120. So, yes, he is someone to watch.
Since 2015, Deadman has cashed in 12 WSOP events and won $531,984, with $391,466 of that total stemming from his runner-up finish in the $5,000 No-Limit Hold’em Six-Handed event at the 2015 WSOP, according to PokerNews.com.
Hall is currently ranked sixth in the U.K. and 52nd in the world by the Global Poker Index.
Leonard is a PartyPoker ambassador who has cashed three times at the 2015 and 2016 WSOP for combined scores of $111,876.
Not to be outdone, Niall Farrell, ranked second in the U.K. and 17th in the world by the Global Poker Index, has enjoyed a plethora of success at the WSOP in recent years. Six cashes in 2016, six in 2015 and three in 2014 bagged the Scot $877,992.
