You knew it was coming: Barack Obama's camp on Monday put out an ad that paints Senator John McCain as the "real celebrity" and one who has been "around the block a little longer".

The ad shows McCain appearing on various talk shows and hugging those that Americans are supposed to "condemn" (George Bush as an example) while instilling the message that he hasn't gotten much accomplished. He's billed in the ad as a "Washington celebrity playing the same Washington celebrity games."

The ad is a reaction to the much hyped John McCain "Celebrity" advertisement that compared Obama to the likes of Paris Hilton and Britney Spears. That ad served its purpose as McCain seemed to garner plenty of media attention for a number of days. The McCain camp's point is that they have been "ignored" while his opponent is being treated like a "celebrity".

Obama's odds to become the next US President have been slashed by a quarter from -225 to -250. McCain still promised a payout of $185 for every $100 bet. Odds were courtesy of Bookmaker.com.
