Not Baaaaad: Lamb Among 85 Remaining at 2017 WSOP Main Event

A total of 85 players remained playing in this year’s World Series of Poker Main event, down from the third largest field in the event’s history of 7,221.

WSOP bracelet record holder Phil Hellmuth predicted yesterday that Ben Lamb would win the event and Lamb was still within the top 30 of chip leaders heading into Sunday’s play.

Amateur player Robin Hegele led the way Sunday with 9,990,000 chips. Big name British pro Max Silver, with over $3.5 million in live career winnings, was coming in with the third biggest chip lead.

Another successful pro, Martin Finger, was hanging by a thread entering Sunday’s play.  He has close to $7 million in live poker winnings in his career.
