(Gambling911.com Marketing) - Gambling911.com has been enjoying a nice surge in traffic over the past few days thanks to the 2009 World Series of Poker and the upcoming British Open.
Yesterday's traffic, in terms of hits, was near 900,000, and we are expecting Tuesday to cross over the one million mark.
June and July are among our slowest traffic months here at Gambling911.com so these events are really helping to boost things. The numbers are much higher than this time last year.
Poker pro Phil Ivey is helping to drive traffic even more with his brilliant play at the WSOP. Everyone - and especially us - are hoping he makes it to the final table as the coverage will be endless. Gambling911.com has assigned Doylesroom.com as our primary sponsor of the Phil Hellmuth coverage. We've enjoyed terrific search rank for "Phil Ivey" and that is who many of our readers are searching for.
We are also enjoying excellent search rankings for our 2009 WSOP coverage.
Alas, it was Tony Romo's breakup with Jessica Simpson that drove in the most traffic over the past 24 hours with an overnight and early morning surge. Gambling911.com questioned whether lifting the Jessica Simpson curse would help improve the Dallas Cowboys odds. We say "NO WAY"!
Overall, our World Series of Poker coverage was getting just slightly more traffic than Gambling911.com's extensive British Open reports, but make no mistake about it, both were providing for some heavy readership. The Tony Romo/Jessica Simpson story will likely serve as an introduction to some top upcoming previews of the 2009/2010 NFL betting season.
