Earlier this session, in a rare occasion of failing to count votes, a Republican-led bill to provide a legal framework for fantasy sports betting in advance of the Supreme Court ruling went down in flames after a number of social conservatives joined forces with liberal skeptics.
And Wisconsin?
"Sports gaming is prohibited by the Wisconsin Constitution, state law and is not allowed under the state-tribal compacts," Steven Michels, state Department of Administration spokesperson, said in an email the day the Supreme Court handed down their ruling. "Today’s Supreme Court ruling does not affect Wisconsin law."
