ESPN is the latest media outlet to partner with a gambling venture in hopes of profiting from the new legalized sports betting industry in the US.

Unlike Fox Sports, which announced a deal with the Stars Group last week to offer similar programming, ESPN will not be taking bets (at least that's what parent company Disney has stated).

Instead they will be focusing exclusively on gambling-related programming. As part of the deal, Caesars will have its odds data and branding integrated into these shows.

ESPN will put a studio inside Caesars’ Linq Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, and expand the shows and videos aimed at gamblers. Financial terms weren’t given.

TV networks see legalized sports betting as a potential boost to live viewership at a time when many consumers are turning elsewhere for entertainment. Caesars plans to contribute to programming on the ESPN network, online and on the ESPN app.

Opening next year, the studio will be a hub for ESPN’s odds-related content, and also a spot to host events during major sporting events in Nevada’s largest city.

The sports network already broadcasts sports betting related shows in addition to a wide variety of poker related programming and live coverage of the World Series of Poker.
