Democratic Sen. Louis Luchini says Wednesday he’s told her administration he’s happy to work with them on the bill.

The Democratic governor signed over a dozen bills Tuesday, ranging from expanding the earned income tax credit to easing regulations on breweries.

Meanwhile, bills to increase the tobacco products tax, raise fees on opioid manufacturers and evaluate a consumer-owned utility are in limbo. That includes legislation allowing Maine to join over a half-dozen states with sports betting.

Maine estimates $4 million in betting revenue through mid-2021.
