"We are excited to be hosting our 11th HPT event in Daytona Beach," says poker director Dom Niro.

The festivities will culminate with an $1,100 Main Event next weekend. Last time HPT visited Daytona Beach, this tournament drew well over 400 entries and the winner walked away with just shy of $100,000. The Main Event final table will be filmed and edited for a one-hour TV episode to air nationwide in the coming months.

HPT events bring in a variety of poker aficionados from novice beginners to veteran pros. The tour is well known for its qualifiers and satellites, which allow players to win a seat into the Main Event at a discounted rate. Former world champion Greg "Fossilman" Raymer is among the notables who have already announced plans to attend the event.

"Daytona is one of the best stops on the tour," says HPT marketing manager Korey Stewart. "Who doesn't love going to Florida to play poker for life-changing money when the rest of the country is dealing with cold weather?"

Located just a few miles from the Atlantic Ocean, Daytona Beach Racing & Card Club is a contemporary, award-winning, entertainment complex. The unique 53,000-square-foot facility features a plush 50-table poker room, live Greyhound races, and a number of delicious dining selections to choose from. Learn more about the property here.

The nearby Home2Suites is offering poker enthusiasts a 20% discount on hotel rates. Those interested in booking a room at these exclusive rates can make their reservation here.
