Chris Moneymaker forever changed the face of poker back in the early 2000's. Out of seemingly nowhere, the unknown went on to bag a world champion after qualifying at an online poker site in 2003. This would go on to be classified as the "Moneymaker Effect".
Moneymaker was recently brought on as an Americas Cardroom ambassador. That popular online poker room is not content with just one Chris Moneymaker, they want to create the next one.
Americas Cardroom is celebrating the arrival of the WSOP Main Event champ by awarding a $105,000 sponsorship package to one lucky player.
With every qualifying event costing just one penny, you’ll have 100 shots to change your life for just $1!
The package consists of $25,000 cash, $40,000 in buy-ins for live tourneys and $40,000 in buy-ins for online events.
Multi-day Final Tournament
The final 360 players will take part in a multi-day tournament running July 11th, 18th and 25th. The winner becomes the “next Moneymaker” by scoring the $105,000 package.
How to Qualify
Players compete in selected tournaments over 12 weeks from April 12th to July 4th.
All buy-ins to these events cost just 1 cent.
Players can take part in as many selected tourneys per week as they want.
The top 100 players (approximately) of each tournament will receive points towards the weekly leaderboard based on their finish.
At the end of each week, players count their top 5 finishes towards their weekly point total and the leaderboard resets.
Top-30 players each week (360 total) will advance to final tourney starting July 11th.
