Connecticut
A bill to allow sports betting and permit the largest gambling expansion in Connecticut history cleared the Connecticut Senate late Tuesday. It now heads to the Governor's desk for signing. Gov. Ned Lamont has already indicated that he will sign the bill. He has been instrumental in getting the process completed in fact. Mobile wagering will be available throughout the state.
A major handicap to this legislation is that those in Connecticut will be unable to place bets on UConn Huskies games during the NCAA College Basketball season whereby both the Men's and Women's teams have excelled of late.

Even if sports wagering should pass that hurdle, proponents have made it clear they will file a lawsuit.
