Celebrity Apprentice 3 Odds: Not So Fast
Celebrity Apprentice 3 odds will likely be available at Sportsbook.com shortly. The real emphasis is on the word "shortly" as in - they probably won't be up very long.
This is Carrie Stroup reporting for Gambling911.com and you might recall last year we received an "insider's" tip as to the last two standing long before Celebrity Apprentice 2 aired. That show featured poker star Annie Duke and Joan Rivers in the final and our coverage of last year's Apprentice installment was among the most read at Gambling911.com.
Typically, pre-recorded shows in the past have led to unusual betting patterns that point to possible "insider" wagering.
"We are still considering our options as to whether we will offer Celebrity Apprentice 3 odds or not," said Dave Stanley when I inquired earlier today. That seemed more like a "no".
Currently Sportsbook.com was playing it safe on the television betting front, offering only odds on the sex of the next American Idol winner.
"Some of the concern with offering Celebrity Apprentice 3 odds is that one of the chosen ‘apprentices' is none other than disgraced Chicago Governor Rod Blagojevich," stated Payton O'Brien, Senior Editor of the Gambling911.com website. "The allegations against him were related to corruption. If a sudden influx of bets started pouring in from Chicago or elsewhere in the state of Illinois that might be reason for concern."
Sportsbook.com is no stranger to "insider betting" controversies with entertainment offerings. They have previously had to remove odds on various programs including the show "Survivor".
