Storage War Star Wins ACR Main Event, $5 Million GTD Venom PKO Kicks Off, Tournament Sets Record
"Storage Wars" cast member Rene Nezhoda has won the Americas Cardroom Enjoy Poker Tour Punta del Este Main Event.
The win cashed $70,455 and he earned his first poker tournament title.
Nezhoda is a local San Diego thrift shop owner.
“I’m exhausted. All eight players were very good. Actually, the last 24 players were all very good. It was hard,” said Nezhoda in a video interview with ACR after coming out on top. “This goes to my Americas Cardroom family, to the Bargain Hunters family, to the Storage Wars family, my lovely wife, everybody that has been supporting me, and most of all my daughter back at home.”
Americas Cardroom $5 Million GTD Venom PKO is set to kick off October 20.
This is considred the world’s biggest Progressive Knockout tournament. It’s a multi-day, multi-million-dollar event unlike anything on the planet. Take out a player, get 50% of their bounty. There are millions of dollars in prize money.

Spanish Poker Championship Sets Attendance Record
The PokerStars-sponsored Spanish Poker Championship final leg has shattered an all-time record.
The main event pulled in almost 500 players and continuing to push the envelope on participation.
Antonio Galiana took down the main event and the lion’s share of the €207,360 (US$203,565) prize pool.
