A beloved poker pro is pleading for help in locating her adult daughter, who has been missing since Saturday. (Update: Cyndy Violette Daughter Found Safe)
Cyndy Violette is one of the most well known female players in poker. At the 2004 World Series of Poker, Violette won a bracelet in the seven-card stud high-low split tournament and, along with Kathy Liebert and Annie Duke, was one of three women to win a gold bracelet in an open tournament in that year's WSOP. She has over $1.3 million in career tournament winnings to date.
In recent years, Violette has run a restaurant called Violette's Vegan.
Violette posted about her missing daughter this week via her social media platforms.
"Hi friends, My daughter Shannon has been missing since Saturday night.
"No one I know so far, has seen her or heard from her at all and her phone just goes straight to voicemail. I’m very worried about her.
"If anyone has had any contact with her after Saturday 6 pm
"Please let me know & say a prayer she is safe."
Friends and others, including psychics, were quick to offer their assistance. Some suggested tracking her by cell phone. Most, however, were offering their prayers for her safe return.
"For my friends in Vegas please keep an eye out for her. Praying she is found safe soon!," one friend requested.
As of Thursday morning, Cyndy confirmed her daughter was still missing.

It was in 2018 that the Alameda, California Sheriff's office requested assistance from Gambling911.com in locating Ernie Scherer III, for whom they believed was in Las Vegas and that many in the poker community might be unaware that he was wanted for the savage double murder of his parents. Gambling911.com's enormous reach across the Web provided a resource the local Sheriff's Department was lacking. Scherer III was apprehended days later....and was indeed in Vegas preparing to participate in a poker tournament.
