The daily volatility continues in political betting markets as we now have a fresh favorite for the Democratic Vice President Nominee.

BetOnline.ag made Josh Shapiro the favorite when odds first opened Sunday afternoon. This morning, former astronaut and Arizona Senator Mark Kelly was moved into the top spot.

"This change is really just based on where the bets are coming in," BetOnline.ag political oddsmaker Paul Krishnamurty said. "Most of the media narrative is directed toward Josh Shapiro, but at this point Mark Kelly being on the ticket would be a significant loss for our book because the bettors are strongly backing him."

Additionally, BetOnline ran a geotagged Twitter/X analysis to see which VP candidate each of the 50 states thinks should get the nod.

More than 110,000 tweets, hashtags and direct keyword phrases about who people want Kamala Harris to choose as her running mate were included in the data.

For example, if there were 500 tweets from Alabama containing "#HarrisShapiro2024" and 400 tweets containing "#HarrisKelly2024" then Shapiro would "win" that state.

As you can see from the map, Governor Shapiro and Senator Kelly are the two top choices.

Other popular names like Pete Buttigieg and Gavin Newsom did not win any states.
