We told you via our Twitter page there would be big news on the online gambling affiliate front and the hits just keep coming.

This morning we covered how Unibet was systematically cutting off affiliates in parts of Europe, how DraftKings and FanDuel continue to "cull" smaller affiliates and now for the big one...

Rush Street Gaming will be cutting ties with all of its affiliates.

The site announced the news on Tuesday and informed all of its stunned customers (well, most of them at least).

"We got them a bunch of customers," an U.S. based affiliate tells Gambling911.com. "This is killing us."

Rush Street Gaming is available in Illinois, Colorado, Arizona, Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Louisiana and Maryland.

Here is the letter sent out to affiliates:

"We write to inform you that, effective September 1, 2024, we will be closing the Rush Affiliate Program in these states.  Accordingly, this email shall service as notice to you that your agreement to participate in the Rush Affiliate Program will be terminated as of 11:59 pm ET on August 31, 2024.  Please ensure that any and all BetRivers advertising, tracking URLs, affiliate codes or similar items to these jurisdictions are completely removed by this time.

The site goes on to advise that any commissions for qualifying players referred by an affiliate earned up to the August 31, 2024 closing date "will be the final commissions paid to you."

It was not immediately clear if BetRivers was shutting down to actual players as no explanation was provided to its affiliate partners.

This story is developing.
