The much anticipated Uruguay-Mexico World Cup game goes off on Tuesday with odds that had Mexico as the +265 favorite paying US$26.50 for every US$10 bet.  Mexico was getting around 60 percent of the public backing in this one.

Uruguay would pay out US$32 for every US$10 bet.

Technically the draw is the favorite at -133.  A draw would send both teams into the next round since neither team has lost this group features both the dysfunctional France team and a poorly perceived South Africa squad.

"-133 pays a little less than even odds," explains Don Shapiro.  "There are those who believe the two teams will conspire to go for the draw, ensuring both Latin American teams get into the last 16."

This happened in Spain in 1982 when West Germany and Austria knew a 1-0 win for Germany in their final group game would see both sides advance and eliminate Algeria.

Uruguay are expected to start with the same 11 that beat South Africa 3-0. Nicolas Lodeiro is available again following a one-match suspension.

Mexico does have its injury woes including Arsenal striker Carlos Vela, who has been sidelined by a hamstring injury suffered in the win over France.
