PartyGaming has been hoping to enter the U.S. market should federal legislation pass that allows for online poker to be licensed in the States. Party has been working with federal law enforcement to ensure it is in compliance and will pay fines associated with the period in which it conducted business in the U.S. prior to October 2006.
Two weeks ago, Party’s shares surged on news that it intends to merge with Austria’s bwin.
