The Wisconsin Badgers vs. Michigan Wolverines betting odds opened at Michigan +5 and has moved up to +6 ½ at some online sports books. Most, like BetUS.com, maintained the line at Wisconsin -6 as the road favorite heading into Friday at least.

The home team has won the last four in this series, by 7 or more in three of them. Wisconsin we should note has not been entirely impressive on the road dating back to last year where they lost three of their last four road games. Looking even deeper, The Badgers are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 road games. They are also 2-6 ATS in their last 8 conference games.

Since the 1998 season, the average margin of victory in eight games between the two have been 8.75 points - with only three games decided by wider margins. Two of those were games split the last two seasons.

Wisconsin is 20-6-1 ATS in their last 27 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game.

The Wolverines, meanwhile, are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall.

Gambling911.com believes the line on this one should be closer to Wisconsin -4 ½.

94 percent of the action was going Wisconsin's way but the line was moving to encourage more action on Michigan.

Here is the clincher - Wisconsin hasn't won at Michigan Stadium since 1994. Why should they this time? Michigan sits in last place in the Big Ten at 1-2 maybe.

And look at what's up next for Wisconsin, Adam Rittenberg of ESPN.com points out. Next week, the Badgers host defending Big Ten champ Ohio State in a Saturday night game at Camp Randall Stadium, where Wisconsin has never lost under coach Bret Bielema. Then the Penn State Nittany Lions, considered by many to be a better team than Wisconsin despite facing weaker competition, visit Madison for another Saturday night affair.

Given those factors, the term "trap game" applies to Saturday's contest at Michigan Stadium (ABC, 3:30 p.m. ET). Will the Badgers let things get that far? Don't bet on it.

With all of this in mind, at the very least we expect this game to be a close one at the very least. History suggests strongly that Michigan should win, but the chance of a +6 ½ cover in this situation is even greater under the circumstances. We say go against the public on this one and consider Michigan and the +6 ½ cover at BetUS.com, home of some of the best signup bonuses on the Web.
