Who would have thought that curling would become such a hot betting item?

That’s exactly what happened Tuesday when NBC Sports commentator Al Michaels, while on the air with Rebecca Lowe, made up a line on one of the Winter Olympics curling events, specifically Great Britain vs. USA.

Michaels instilled the US as a “two stone underdog” and proclaimed that America will win.

He promised to be back on Wednesday to discuss the results.

Both sides come into this curling event as losers. Real bets on the 2014 Winter Olympics can be placed here.
