What Are The Odds to Win - Women's 200m - Track and Field - Paris Summer Olympics
Odds to win the Women's 200m gold medal in Track and Field have the following two competitors:
Gabrielle Thomas (USA)
-175
Julien Alfred (LCA)
+160
Thomas is the slight favorite while Alfred, who stunned the world the other day with a gold medal win, the first for the tiny island nation of Saint Lucia, would pay out $160 for every $100 bet.
Thomas is an American track and field athlete in 100 and 200 meter sprint. She won the bronze medal in the 200 m and a silver as part of the women's 4 × 100 m relay at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Alfred offered one of the biggest upsets in this year's Summer Olympics.
After winning, Alfred honored her dad, who passed away 11 years ago. She dedicated her win to him.
"Most importantly, God, my coach, and lastly, my dad, who believed that I could do it," she answered when asked who she dedicated her victory to. "He passed away in 2013, and now he couldn’t get to see me on the biggest stage of my career. But he’ll always be so boastful of his daughter being an Olympian."
