Oleksandr Khyzhniak (UKR) is the slight favorite to win the Men's 80kg in Boxing at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics at -110 odds.

Khyzhniak is a Ukrainian amateur boxer. He won gold medals at the 2017 World Championships, 2017 European Championships and the 2019 European Games.

Khyzhniak defeated Brazilian Wanderley Pereira in the 80kg weight category quarterfinals at the Olympic Games in Paris on Aug. 3.

The 29-year-old Ukrainian won by unanimous decision, with a score of 30-26.

Khyzhniak has secured a spot in the semifinals, guaranteeing him at least a bronze medal, as the Olympic regulations stipulate that there is no third-place match.

In the semifinals, Khyzhniak will face off two-time Olympic champion Cuban Arlen Lopez on Aug. 4.

Arlen López Cardona is a Cuban professional boxer. López was a highly accomplished amateur, winning gold medals at both the 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics. López also won gold medals at both the 2015 and 2019 Pan American Games, the 2014 and 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games and the 2015 World Championships.

He secured Cuba's second medal in this year's Olympics with a win over Uzbek Turabek Khabibullaev by a split decision from the judges, with a score of 3-2, thereby advancing to the fight for the silver medal.
