Among the 2010 WSOP main event field of 27, Matt Affleck is certainly one of the bigger names.  He comes into Saturday’s play as the 6th biggest chip leader.  Last year he sat atop the WSOP leaderboard at one point and did so again this year.  In 2009 he managed to cash out.  This year he will be taking home even more money.

Affleck plays under the handle LOL_Sickness at Cake Poker.

Affleck, who comes to us from Mill Creek, Washington, has cashed out in 9 live events to date and has won over $200,000.

We have three Canadians among the top 10 chip leaders coming into Saturday’s play.  Jonathan Duhamel qualified for the 2010 WSOP through PokerStars.com.  He comes to us from Boucherville, Quebec and is one of two players in the top 10 from that province.

John Racener was the 8th biggest chip holder.  Racener, who comes to us from port Richey, Florida, has won over a million dollars in live poker tournaments to date.

The 22-year-old overcame a 2-1 heads-up chip disadvantage to win the championship event of the WSOP Circuit championship event at Harrah’s Atlantic City.

“I needed the money because I don’t work,” he exulted after his win at Harrah's Atlantic City. Racener started off his pro career spectacularly, celebrating his 21st birthday by finishing third and collecting $103,527 in the championship event here last year, according to Poker Pages.

Racener can sometimes be seen sporting a porcupine hairdo.

Italy was represented among the chip leaders by one Filippo Candio.  The 25-year-old has won over $200,000 in lifetime tournaments.

Candio has been sponsored by PokerStars for a few years, but changed his colors before the Main Event and was seen sporting Full Tilt patches during his deep run.  He is from Cagliari, Italy.

The 10th biggest chip leader is Madison, Wisconsin 32-year-old Benjamin Statz, who just happens to be dating Annie Duke’s younger sister.  Otherwise, he is a relative unknown at the 2010 WSOP main event.

Robert Pisano of Las Vegas was the 11th biggest chip leader who ultimately bowed out at 23rd place.  He too is a relative unknown on the circuit.

Michiel Sijpkens represents the Netherlands as the 12th biggest chip leader. Sijpkens  won his seat to the 2010 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event via a $33 rebuy on PokerStars just six weeks after his 21st birthday.

Duy Le comes to us from California and has won more than $200,000 in career live poker tournaments including a first place cash at the Deep Stack Extravaganza last year.  He was the lucky 13th biggest chip leader coming into Saturday.

Scott Clements is one of the most successful poker players still alive in the 2010 WSOP main event.  He has two WSOP bracelets and has won just shy of $4 million in live poker tournaments to date.

Clements biggest win was at the North American Poker Championships / WPT Event Season 6 in November 2007 ($1.4 million).

The 28-year-old Washington state native’s ambition in life is “to Win as many bracelets, and Final tables, and cashes in the WSOP as I can.”
