Anatoly Filatov Leads at End of EPT 11 London Main Event Day 1A

PT Vienna High Roller runner-up Anatoly Filatov is leading the 123 players who have made it through Day 1a of the EPT 11 London Main Event. The 26-year-old Russian pro has 173,900. The event started at noon with 224 players. Along with Team PokerStars Pro Johnny Lodden (currently fourth on 125,800), all the other Team PokerStars players who competed today also made it through: Fatima Moreira de Melo, Jason Mercier, Leo Margets, Eugene Katchalov, Johnny Lodden, Jake Cody, Team Online's Isaac Haxton plus PokerStars-sponsored 2014 PCA champion Dominik Panka. Other notable survivors include UKIPT London champ Sergio Aido, James Dempsey, Niall Farrell, Marvin Rettenmaier, Sam Chartier, David Vamplew and Max Silver.

Last season Swedish pro Robin Ylitalo defeated a 604-strong field for a £560,980 first prize. 87 players snagged a share of the £2,929,400 prize pool.

The 11-day festival, running October 8-18, features 45 different tournaments at the stunning Grand Connaught Rooms in London's West End with cash games running 24/7 at The Hippodrome Casino. BRETT ANGELL WINS UKIPT LONDON MAIN EVENT FOR £115,083 
British IT professional Brett Angell, 30, has turned a start-of-day chip lead into the biggest live score of his career, taking down the £770 UKIPT London Main Event for £115,083 following a heads-up deal with runner-up Fabrizio Fuchs. Angell, from Middlesborough in the north of England, is no stranger to UKIPT finals after finishing second at UKIPT Nottingham in season 2. This time he faced a super-tough final table that also included experienced Danish pro Rasmus Agerskov and 2013 PCA High Roller runner-up Vladimir Troyanovskiy.

The event attracted 1,089 players, generating a prize pool of £739,431. UKIPT Marbella champion Ludovic Geilich, PokerStars Snowfest winner Marius Pospiech, Team PokerStars Pro Matthias De Meulder, Team PokerStars SportStar Fatima Moreira de Melo and Full Tilt Poker Ambassador Martins Adeniya were among the 159 players who cashed.
