Doyle Brunson, Annette Obrestad Hanging Tough at WSOPE
Gambling911.com continues to root for Doyle Brunson and his top 10 chip lead at the 2009 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE). Heading into Day 2B, Brunson was the 6th biggest chip leader.
Annette Obrestad, who won the very first WSOPE two years ago, was still alive as was Daniel Negreanu. Negreanu is considered by many to be the most recognizable name in professional poker.
Relative unknown Ian Munns led the pack by day's end on Monday. He was followed by Praz Bansi, who has won over a half million in live tournaments throughout his career.
Amnon Filippi was in 4th place. He has won over $2 million in lifetime tournaments.
Play is scheduled to resume at 12:00 p.m. local time (GMT+1).
