FTOPS XXIV DELIVERS OVER $9 MILLION IN PRIZE POOLS
Full Tilt Poker’s FTOPS XXIV came to a close last weekend with more than $3.3 million in prize pools won across the final three days.
Two weeks of exciting tournament action culminated with over $1,600,000 awarded in the Main Event, which saw “poksu pete” outlast a field of 2,755 to turn his $635 buy-in into $207,016. Second-place finisher “Illini213” took the lion’s share of the Main Event prize pool however with $261,339, due to a deal made three handed.
With 1,049 points on the FTOPS XXIV Leaderboard at close of play, “Betong” was officially confirmed as the first Black Card Pro to be announced by Full Tilt Poker, and will receive a host of benefits while representing Full Tilt Poker for at least six months from Wednesday, January 1st.
The biggest winner of the weekend was “quinor” who took down the $1,000,000 guaranteed Two-Day Event to walk away with $262,500.
In total, more than $9,000,000 was won during the Series, which ran for two weeks and consisted of 39 events.
